What is a Possessive Noun?

The possessive form is used with nouns that pertain to individuals, groups of individuals, countries, and animals. It depicts a relationship of belonging between two things. To make the possessive, combine the noun with an apostrophe and the letter s. Add an apostrophe after the s if the term is plural or already ends in s.
This is Dang’s pen.
