In this tutorial for beginners, learners will be able to learn the concept of “ Greetings ”. What does “ Greetings ” means? How to use appropriate “ Greetings ” in conversation. How to demonstrate “Greetings” by using in a conversation?. How to form sentences using appropriate “Greetings” ?.
In this activity the students will interact in, through and with spoken and written English to use in the classroom.

A. Pre Activity/ Warm-up
1. Opening Song “Hello 3x, How do you do”
2. The teacher will greet the students by saying
“Good morning (students’ name). How are you?
B. Activity Proper
1. Teacher presents the lesson by saying “Today we are going to be working on “Greetings” because it is very important to know how to meet people and the words we are going to say.
2. Teacher introduces himself/ herself to the class.
“Good morning, my name is _____________________.
3. Teacher will ask the students to introduce themselves in the class.
4. Teacher writes the vocabulary words while she explains in class.
Hi How are you? Fine Thank you
goodbye please hello good morning
You’re welcome
5. Teacher will say the words and the students will repeat after the teacher.
6. Guided Participation
The teacher let every student speak using these vocabulary words:
Good morning please
Hello-Hi Fine
How are you? You’re welcome.
Thank you. What do you say when someone gives you a gift?
Goodbye What do you say when you want something?
7. Teacher will model the greetings with the students.
Hello, good morning. My name is Jocelyn. How are you? Students respond (fine).
The teacher will then say “goodbye and the student will respond, (goodbye).
C. Group Work
1. Divide the class into groups depending on the number of the students. Let each group speak by forming sentences using appropriate greetings in pair work. Each student should be allowed at least one turn.
2. Teacher will praise the students for all of their hard work.
